QSAR 2008 - Syracuse, NY, USA

Speakers

Credibility • Purpose • Opportunity

General Information

Talks will be scheduled at 20-minute intervals. The Workshop format is designed to foster discussion. Therefore, Session Chairs will have discretion to allow attendee interactions to extend beyond the 5 minute time period currently scheduled. However, the 15 minute presentation duration will be strictly adhered to.

Presentations must be submitted in electronic format in PowerPoint or its equivalent. All versions of PowerPoint will be accepted, although formats compatible with PowerPoint 2003 are recommended. Presentations prepared on either Windows or Apple platforms are acceptable. There will not be accommodations for photographic slides or overheads available.

Presentations may be e-mailed to the Organizers before the Workshop. If you are emailing the presentation, it must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 6, Eastern Standard Time. Please ensure the paper ID and presenter’s last name appears in the file name. It is prudent to bring a back-up copy of your presentation on CD or a memory drive.

Presentations (CD or a memory drive) may also be submitted during the registration process on Sunday.

Poster abstracts for the three Workshop themes should be submitted via the on-line abstract submission Web site. You may still submit poster abstracts using the Web site, though there is no guarantee that they will be accepted or that the abstract will appear in the printed schedule. Posters will be displayed during the entire Workshop and authors will be required to be available during session breaks. Restrictions on the sizes of posters are not anticipated, although authors are encouraged to use the dimensions typical of a scientific meeting (approximately 4 feet by 2 feet).

All authors and speakers are responsible for complying with their applicable country's export regulations and laws for the public release of their information whether it is presented verbally or in written format.

Publishing

Authors are encouraged to submit their work (both posters and platforms) for publication in the Workshop proceedings, which will be published in SAR and QSAR in Environmental Research.  Please note the following steps for submitting the manuscript:

  • Papers can be submitted to the editor, Jame Devillers, by e-mailing it directly (j.devillers@ctis.fr). You may send papers by e-mail to the editor through June 1.

  • Papers can also be given to the editor during the Workshop in Syracuse. Two printed copies and one electronic copy on CD must be provided by the evening of June 10.

  • After June 10, manuscripts will no longer be accepted for publication in the Workshop proceedings.
