Software ProcessIn 1996, SRC began a Software Process Improvement Program — a corporate-wide initiative aimed at enhancing our software development capabilities by adopting improved policies, processes, procedures and tools. The purpose of this program is to enhance the development of a corporate-wide software engineering excellence culture, and to establish quality software engineering as a core competency. SRC’s SPI Program is based on the Software Engineering Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration, which provides a staged approach for organizations to improve the maturity of their software processes, as well as a methodology for continuous process improvement.
As an organization's process maturity increases, costs decrease, development time becomes shorter, and productivity and quality increase. SRC is certified in CMMI Level 3. Attaining this prestigious credential demonstrates SRC’s strong commitment to self-imposed quality standards on our product and service development processes, and our commitment to establishing consistency across the organization.
