Overview
Syracuse Research Corporation (SRC) is a not-for-profit, research and development company with over 50 years experience in the areas of defense, environment, and intelligence. SRCTec, an ISO registered subsidiary of SRC, provides high-tech manufacturing, program management, and integrated logistics. Together, through the innovative application of science, technology, and information, the companies develop next generation solutions to challenges of national significance.

SRC and SRCTec employ more than 900 people and have offices in Arlington, VA; Chantilly, VA; Charlottesville, VA; Dayton, OH; Denver, CO; Hanover, MD; Rome, NY; San Antonio, TX; and Syracuse, NY. Awards and Accomplishments
Top 10 Best Companies to Work for in New York
In 2007, SRC received recognition as one of the Top 10 “Best Companies to Work for in New York” from the New York State Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and Best Companies Group. The statewide survey and awards program identifies, recognizes, and honors the best places of employment in New York that benefit the state’s economy, its workforce, and businesses. SHRM also presented SRC with the Donlon Award for family-friendly workplace in 2005 and 2006.

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Certification
SRC has begun the final Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification process associated with identifying the new Corporate Headquarters, the Round Pond Road Facility, as a “green” building. Additionally, SRC qualified for “energy conservation” credits from New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). SRC’s eco-friendly design has made it the largest of its kind in Central New York.

Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce’s Business of the Year Award 2007
SRC received the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce’s Business of the Year award in 2007. The award is given to companies with 50 or more employees that excel in growth, staying power, workplace innovation, and commitment to the community.

Continuing Technical Excellence Award
In 2008, SRC was awarded the Technology Company of the Year by the Technology Alliance of Central New York (TACNY). Additionally, Lockheed Martin and SRC’s Multi-Mission Radar/EQ-36 was selected the Technology Project of the Year. Previously, SRC had garnered the Continuing Technical Excellence award from TACNY, an award specially created to recognize SRC’s continuing technical leadership and growth in Central New York. SRC was also named the Technology Company of the Year in 2005 and 2006.

James S. Cogswell Outstanding Industrial Security Achievement Award
SRC has been recognized for extraordinary performance in the National Industrial Security Program. Read more.

Army’s Top 10 Inventions Award
The Lightweight Counter-Mortar Radar (LCMR), which was co-developed with the U.S. Army and is manufactured at SRC, received the “Army’s Top 10 Inventions” Award in 2004. SRC’s first generation counter remote control improvised explosive device electronic warfare system – Counter Measure Protection System (CMPS) – received the same Award in 2005. The Award distinguishes best technological solutions for soldiers, and how these new technologies increase convenience and competence for the U.S. Army.
