SRC is committed to providing a comprehensive and attractive benefits package to eligible employees. Our benefits program reflects how important we believe our employees are to the success of our organization. Highlights are listed below:

Vacation
Employees may earn between 15 days and 25 days of vacation per year depending on length of service. Employees may carry-over up to 20 days of vacation to the next calendar year.

Medical Benefits
Our medical plans offer 4-tier coverage. The medical benefit is a pre-tax plan, and the corporation contributes most of the cost. A comprehensive PPO plan is available. This plan includes coverage for vision care.

Dental Benefits
The company offers a comprehensive pre-tax dental plan which is available at either a high or low level. The high plan includes an orthodontia benefit.

Flexible Spending Accounts
The Health Care and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts allow employees to reduce taxable income by directing pre-tax funds to pay for out-of-pocket medical and day-care expenses. Our plan includes an optional debit card benefit.

Employee Life Insurance
The company provides an insurance benefit equivalent to one times salary and employees can elect one, two, three, or four times their annual salary. There is a combined maximum of $400,000.

Spouse & Dependent Life Insurance
Elect to cover spouse and dependents, using after-tax dollars from a variety of coverage levels.

Holidays
The company observes nine paid holidays per year.

Sick Leave
Employees are granted time off for legitimate illnesses or injuries.

Short Term Disability
This plan provides from 60 percent to 100 percent (depending on years of service) of an employee’s monthly salary in the event of an illness or disability lasting less than six months.

Long Term Disability
This plan electively provides an income of 60 percent of monthly salary in the event of an illness or disability lasting longer than six months.

Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance
This payroll deduction plan allows the employee to enroll for coverage between $25,000 to $300,000, with lesser amounts of coverage for spouses and dependents.

Company Travel Insurance
Employees who travel on company business are covered by an all-risk travel policy, coverage of $200,000.

Retirement Program
As a not-for-profit research and development organization, we have the opportunity to participate in the largest retirement system in the world — the well-known TIAA-CREF. The company contributes 10 percent of an employee’s gross salary under a five-year delayed vesting schedule. Employees contribute five percent of their gross salaries and have the opportunity to invest additional funds on a pre-tax basis (within IRS limits). The employee chooses how contributions are directed to a number of different investment options.

Tuition Support
The company provides tuition support for either 12 or 18 credit hours in an academic year to eligible employees for accredited graduate and undergraduate courses. The number of credit hours depends upon the type of educational institution.

Employee Discount Program
Numerous offers for discounts on goods and/or services are available to employees from various retailers, amusement parks, sporting events, and service professionals.

Employee Assistance Program
The company provides an employee assistance program to deal with many levels of problems and issues. These services are confidential and available to employees and their families.

Credit Union Membership
Employees may take advantage of the services that our participating credit unions offer.

Casual Work Attire
The company allows employees to dress in “business casual” to foster a comfortable, productive atmosphere.
