AMBER

Background

To provide MATLAB/SIMULINK modeling and simulation follow-on support to NASIC's Technical Radar Analysis and Modeling System (TRAMS). NASIC analysts required computer-based systems modeling and simulating foreign radar threat systems. In addition, the analysts required a visualization capability to examine the output of the simulation.

Approach & Capabilities

SRC's AMBER Project provides the analyst with:

  • A slant range versus altitude Vertical Coverage Diagram (VCD)

  • A 2-D overhead view of Horizontal Detection Contours (HDC)

  • A Flight Path Analysis (FPA) that describes a receiver's signal-to-noise ratio as a function of target range

  • A dynamic link for Blocksets to a central library tour

  • A capability to incorporate switchable target, clutter, and environment models

Technology

  • MATLAB

  • SIMULINK
