Syracuse, N.Y., April 6 – The N.Y. Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, a Department of Defense agency, announced today that Miguel A. Maldonado, Quality Manager of SRC, Inc., formerly Syracuse Research Corporation, was honored with a Patriot Award in recognition of extraordinary support of employees who serve in the N.Y. National Guard and Reserve (pictures).
According to Rear Admiral John Paddock, ESGR Central N.Y. chair, “ESGR’s Patriot Award recognizes individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees, who, like the citizen warriors before them, answered our nation’s call to serve. Miguel was nominated for being highly supportive of National Guard and Reserve members by his National Guard component employee, Angela Durantini. Supportive supervisors are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation’s National Guard and Reserve units.”
“We are very proud of our employees who dedicate their time to helping keep America safe and strong,” stated Bob Roberts, SRC’s president and CEO. “Miguel is a shining example of how SRC encourages managers to offer flexible schedules to accommodate employees like Angela. We are very proud of both Miguel and Angela, and we will continue to support our employees helping the greater good.”
