Syracuse, N.Y., April 6 – SRCTec was recently honored as a Corporate Hero by the Northern New York-Fort Drum Chapter of the Association of the United States Army. The award was presented by retired Gen. Gordon R. Sullivan, the former Army Chief of Staff and current AUSA president. AUSA is a private, non-profit, educational organization that supports America’s Army – active, National Guard, Reserve, civilians, retirees and family members. SRCTec was one of four companies honored at the Colonel level for its support of the organization in the past year.
SRCTec has been a corporate member of the Northern New York-Fort Drum Chapter since 2007, providing sponsorships, event volunteers and board members. In addition, the employees of SRCTec and SRC, Inc., formerly Syracuse Research Corporation, have been active in supporting the organization. The employees recently chose the chapter’s Fallen and Wounded Solider fund as the recipient of funds raised during the companies’ annual golf tournament. At the event, the employees raised $830, which was matched by the companies and presented to chapter president Maureen Cean during a recent visit to SRCTec.
