Red Cross Honors SRC and SRCTec with Life Share Platinum Level Achievement Awards

Syracuse, N.Y., April 21 – The American Red Cross presented SRC, Inc., formerly Syracuse Research Corporation, and SRCTec, Inc. with Life Share Program Platinum Level Achievement Awards for outstanding employee participation in blood drive donations in 2009. The Life Share Program helps corporate sponsors understand their role in maintaining the community blood supply and provides a platform for recognizing the most dedicated sponsors. The Platinum Achievement Award is presented to sponsors with a participation rate of greater than 30 percent.

“We are proud of our employees who have helped the American Red Cross achieve their goal to maintain an adequate blood supply 365 days a year,” states Bob Roberts, SRC’s president and CEO. “Our employees and the SRC Cares philanthropic program strive to complement our mission: “to keep America safe and strong by protecting its people, environment and way of life.” Our employees continue to rise to the challenge and exceed expectations.”

Not only do SRC and SRCTec support the American Red Cross with quarterly blood drives, but they also recently participated in the Rockin’ the Red Cross Battle of the Bands with their sponsored employee band, “Under the Radar.” The companies also support a variety of other organizations that promote education and human service. Recently, they created a volunteer program, SRC Cares, to encourage employees to volunteer in their communities. SRC and SRCTec acknowledge the important role philanthropy plays in fostering the growth and development of its employees and the communities where they live and work. The company’s donations primarily focus on education and activities related to science and technology, and efforts that support U.S. troops.
