SRC Scholarship Awarded By AFCEA To SUNY IT Student

Syracuse, N.Y., July 26 – SRC, Inc., formerly Syracuse Research Corporation, in association with the Erie Canal Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, is pleased to announce the SRC Scholarship, a $2,500 merit based scholarship presented to a matriculating State University of New York Institute of Technology student.

Bob Roberts, president and CEO of SRC, stated, “We are excited to offer this scholarship opportunity to prospective and current SUNY IT students. At SRC, we believe it is our responsibility to support higher education in our community. Our hope is that this scholarship will encourage students to enter careers in technology, and ultimately strengthen the workforce in Central New York.”

 

The 2010/2011 SRC Scholarship was awarded to Kevin Burr, a SUNY IT student, in recognition of his exceptional academic achievements, as well as his dedication to service in his community. The scholarship is designed to acknowledge an outstanding potential or currently matriculated SUNY IT student studying electronics, electrical engineering, computer engineering and/or other science and technology related fields.

 

The SRC Scholarship provides a $2,500 financial award, a one-year AFCEA membership and a subscription to “Signal Magazine.”
