SRC personnel pioneered
the use of adaptive signal processing and adaptive nulling antennas to
counter radar jamming and clutter problems. This expertise was
subsequently extended to the solution of communication system EW
problems, particularly those associated with SATCOM systems. Engineers
at SRC are currently developing and implementing space-time adaptive
processing (STAP) techniques for airborne and space-based radar systems
to enhance the detection of slow moving targets in clutter.
ECM Receivers
SRC has developed a line of small, self-contained systems that provide
automatic detection, discrimination and measurement of ECM signals for
threat emitter simulators. A programmable system architecture allows the
SRC ECM receivers to be configured with any threat simulator.
Features include:
-
Multiple Channel Operation
-
Simultaneous detection, classification, and measurement of range gate
pull-off, velocity gate pull-off, amplitude modulation, noise jamming,
and chaff
-
Simultaneous coherent and video processors
-
Video signal output
-
User programmable
-
Built-in test provides go/no-go status and automatic fault isolation
-
Modular VME based architecture
-
Programmable digital signal processing
