Instructors With Practical Experience
All SRC instructors bring to your classroom an effective combination of EW/IW experience, formal academic training, and technical expertise. You'll find their presentations interesting and comprehensive, and very easy to understand.

Stephen L. Duning has more than 15 years of experience in defense engineering analysis and information database development. As Center Director for SRC's Information Technologies Center in Dayton, OH, he is expert in the Electronic Warfare Information Integrated Reprogramming Database (EWIRDB) and the Air Force Mission Support System (AFMSS) Database. In addition, he assisted the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) in numerous foreign-threat, ground-based radar systems and performed analysis and reverse engineering on antennas, transmitters, receivers, and signal processing components of a variety of early warning, target acquisition, and ballistic missile early warning radars. Mr. Duning has a B.A. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Dayton.

Michael B. Garwood has extensive experience in every aspect of the EWIRDB Product. He has a comprehensive understanding of the technical theory behind the database structure and of the current limitations in reporting the characteristics of modern signals and systems. He has assisted EWIRDB users in effectively using the database. He works with the Chair of the EWIRDB Standardization Committee to help identify and resolve technical reporting issues. Mr. Garwood has a BS Degree from the US Coast Guard Academy and an MSEE and MS (Engineering Administration) degrees from Syracuse University.

Ronald B. Murdock has been involved in electronic warfare and with national ELINT databases at Syracuse Research Corporation for over 20 years. He is an expert in the design and implementation of sophisticated quality assurance software, the design of new data structures, and various applications software systems. Mr. Murdock has a BS in physics from Syracuse University.

Todd Carrier participates in the maintenance of the electronic warfare integrated reprogramming (EWIR) database for the Information Technologies Center at SRC. He has been responsible for technical analysis of numerous foreign, threat radar files for efforts sponsored by various intelligence organizations. Mr. Carrier also leads a team of analysts in determining radar system performance for the Air Force Mission Support System (AFMSS) Combat Support Database (CSDB). Additionally, he has authored white papers concerning data mining for SIGINT and has participated in pattern recognition for specific emitter ID (SEI) projects. Mr. Carrier has a BSEE from the Syracuse University, and a MSCE from Syracuse University.

Robert Sherwin is a radar/electronic warfare engineer, with experience in both radar system design and electronic warfare. He also has 150 instruction hours in a variety of science and computer topics, including radar antenna engineering, RF communications design, and is the radar instruction specialist for the electronic warfare group at SRC. He is currently involved in Electronic Warfare Database production, and is the Education Administrator for SRC.
